On Saturday, August 10, from 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Duffy and the Nam Vets will be co- hosting the Second Annual Stand Down Cape Cod.  More than 30 vendors will be at Cape Cod Academy providing services ranging from haircuts to foot care and everything in between. On Wednesday, August 14, Duffy will join the Cape and Islands Community Health Center Network for a legislative breakfast being held at the Community Health Center of Caper Cod. The Executive Directors of the five local Community Health Canters will take the opportunity to share with local legislators updates on Patient Center Medical Home initiatives and other issues facing the Centers in 2013.

That evening, Duffy will be hosting a reception to unveil a painting created by a current consumer to honor a former consumer and board member, Bach Charon.

Each year the second week in August is dedicated to celebrating the services and contributions of Community, Migrant, Homeless and Public Housing Health Centers. While there are countless reasons to celebrate America’s Health Centers, among the most important and unique is their long success in providing access to affordable, high quality, cost effective health care to medically vulnerable and underserved people throughout the United States.

This year, please consider join us in Celebrating America’s Health Centers: Transforming Health Care in Our Local Communities during National Health Center Week 2013, August 11-17.
