Press Release

Sixth Annual Duffy Health Center Suitcase Party will send lucky winners to Savannah, Georgia.

For Immediate Release

Always wanted to fly on a private jet? Savannah on your short list of places to visit? Wondered what the secret is to cooking fried green tomatoes? Now you can cross three items off your bucket list in one weekend.

The Duffy Health Center’s Sixth Annual Evening of Stars Suitcase Party will be held at Rectrix Aerodrome in Hyannis on Friday, May 8, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm. Just as in the last five years, two lucky winners will have their names drawn and they and their guests will proceed to board the private Challenger jet for fun-filled, all-expenses paid weekend in Savannah, Georgia. The Brice Hotel will serve as home base for two nights as the winners enjoy a trolley tour of Historic Savanah and participate in a Southern cuisine based cooking class with Chef Darin. The cooking class has recently been named one of Savannah’s top attractions on YELP. Breakfast both mornings in addition to a wine reception upon arrival Friday night, is also included. Sound too good to resist? Two additional packages for four people will be sold as live auction items.

In addition to the drawing for the weekend in Savannah, there will be live and silent auctions including Red Sox packages, a trip to Washington D.C., a walk-on role at the Cotuit Center for the Arts and an Art Bar experience for eight people at Liam’s in Falmouth. A cash bar, appetizers and a buffet dinner catered by the Casual Gourmet will also be featured. Matt Pita of iHeart Media will be the Master of Ceremonies and Ron Holmes and Diane Wolsieffer, co-chairs of the Cape Cod Behavioral Health Summit are this year’s honorees.

Tickets may be purchased online for $175.00 per person. Tables and sponsorship opportunities are still available.  For more information, please call Elyse DeGroot at 508-771-7517 ext. 104 or visit our Evening of Stars page. All proceeds will be used to support programs and services at the Duffy Health Center.
