Jane de Groot
Director of Program Resources

Jane de Groot, Director Program Resources

In 2001 when Duffy staff were working in a 500-square foot clinic at the local emergency shelter, Jane de Groot authored a successful request to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for Duffy Health Center to be recognized as a federally qualified community health center with a mission to serve Cape Cod's most vulnerable residents. In 2006, Jane formally joined Duffy as the Director of Program Resources. Her role in program design and grant writing has supported agency growth by leveraging Duffy's successful model of care through multiple federal awards from HRSA, SAMHSA, and HUD, among other funders. She has initiated and nurtured Duffy's involvement in research with academic partners; has championed evidence-based practice training for staff and community partners; and has strengthened Duffy's ability to serve its clients through developing key agency partnerships and special projects.

Jane received her BA in Comparative Literature from Antioch College and MPA in Health Services Administration from NYU Wagner School of Public Service. While in New York, she worked for John Wiley & Sons Medical Division, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the New York City Dept. of Health, and NYU School of Education and Allied Health, Office of Sponsored Research. After moving to Cape Cod with her family, she assisted many non-profits and developed the Cape's first School Based Health Center.
